$100,000 Pledged to “Corners for Wildlife”

May 2018

The Northwest Kansas Conservation Foundation has committed to $ 100,000 to support the “Corners for Wildlife” program.   The first payment of $ 20,000 was made in May of 2018 and $ 20,000 will be paid annually for the next four years.  The program was developed by Pheasants Forever in collaboration with the Kansas Dept. of Wildlife, Parks & Tourism.   The program has been tried out successfully in Nebraska so Pheasants Forever decided to put it to the test in Kansas.   This funding will provide the resources needed to enroll 26 center-pivot irrigation corners (approximately 750 acres) in the program for five years benefiting Northwest Kansas wildlife and Northwest Kansas Tourism.
