The Northwest Kanss Conservation Foundation awarded $ 25,000 to the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks (KDWP) to help fund the Land Purchase in Sherman County.

KDWP will purchase a 157.5-acre tract from Pheasants Forever. This tract is adjacent to 2,654-acre Veterans Wildlife area owned and managed by KDWP. The $ 25,000 will be part of the 25% match required by the Pittman-Robertson Grant received. The tract will become part of the wildlife area managed for upland birds and public hunting.
